My One Month Challenge

I've set myself a challenge to see how much pounds I can lose safely in one month. This week I will show you how I've lost 4 pounds in 2 weeks, so that you can do the same...


I've got a big outdoor pool party on the 1st of October and I need to shape up fast. I've decided to put all my efforts in to losing weight for the occasion, I want to see how much I can lose in a month the safe way.

So far I've lost 4 pounds in 2 weeks!

What It Takes

What does it take to lose that amount of weight in 2 weeks?

You have to be disciplined with yourself ,you have to desire weight loss, plus you've got to be motivated.

Your diet is also very important. It makes up to 80% of what you look like.

My Diet This Past 2 Weeks

Here's my menu of what I ate this past 2 weeks:

Breakfasts I ate
  • Oats with raisins and 100ml fruit juice (homemade)
  • or High fiber bran cereal with 1 cup fat free milk, 1 tablespoon raisins, and 1 banana
  • or 1 slice toast, 1 egg, tomato, onions and lots of mushrooms (use low fat cooking spray)



My favorite lunch options
  •  Chicken salad with lite mayo and 1 slice rye bread
  • or Tuna chickpea salad with half a can chickpeas, half a can tuna and lots of veg and 1 tablespoon lite mayo or
  • My favorite Saturday lunch - homemade hamburger made with extra trim mince on a wholewheat roll with a few oven baked chips
  • My favorite Sunday lunch - Extra trim spaghetti bolognaise with a salad




My favorite dinner options
  • Chicken stir fry with half a cup of spaghetti (use lean chicken fillets and stir fry in 1 teaspoon olive oil and lemon juice)
  • or Small salmon fillet and roast veg
  • or Chicken fillet, half a cup of rice and veg
  • or Small rump steak and salad
  • or Vegetable soup and wholewheat seed bread
  • or Tomato soup and rye bread


 

The snacks I had


Snack option 1 - 2 Dried peaches, 1 plum, 1 cup fruit salad with 1 cup fat free yogurt, 100 ml fruit juice, 1 apple, veg crudites with 1 tablespoon fat free cottage cheese mixed with 1 teaspoon sweet chili sauce and 1 cup butternut soup
Snack option 2 - Apple, 1 mini paw-paw and fat free yogurt, 1 small bunch of grapes, 10 almonds, veg crudites with 1 tablespoon fat free cottage cheese mixed with 1 teaspoon sweet chili sauce and 1 cup butternut soup

The Results

Eating like that and exercising regularly have helped me to lose 4 pounds so far in 2 weeks. If I can do it, so can you!
